Tennis elbow is an inflammation at the starting point of the muscle on the outer (lateral) side of the elbow. It is one of the most common syndromes of overuse, as well as one of the most frequent pain conditions of the elbow. It is connected with certain jobs and movements, which cause the inflammation and the pain. Treatment is often conservative including modification of activities, anti-inflammatory drugs, exercises and physical therapy, orthosis. Very rarely, the treatment can be performed surgically, in terms of relaxation of the muscle starting point.
